Day 55 of 100 Days to Greatness

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally; (James 1:5a)

Success requires wisdom.  Wisdom is needed in order to make appropriate decisions concerning your life and business.  The Bible teaches of a Godly wisdom that is yours for the asking, this I refer to as divine wisdom.  On the other hand, Baltes and Smith (1990),  define wisdom as our ability to use good  judgement  concerning the matters of life.  These two methods combined  will help you discover  wisdom for success  in business and life.  Baltes and Smith 1990, has hypothesized these five components of wise judgement:

(1)   Factual knowledge about matters of Life

(2)  Procedural knowledge

(3)  Lifespan Contexualism

(4)  Recognition and management of uncertainty

(5)   Relativism concerning solutions

From their studies they have determined that wisdom seems to increase exponentially and it’s young adults and adolescence and show signs of peak performance at the ages of  fifty and sixty.  Wisdom is a key ingredient for success.  Seek wisdom – find success.
